Practice Areas:

Linda K. Constable was born in Salina, Kansas, on February 3,
1948. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of Kansas, with highest distinction, in 1973, and Master of Business
Administration and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of
Kansas in 1979.
Ms. Constable was admitted to the Kansas bar in 1979. She is
admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court. Ms. Constable began
private practice in 1979 with the firm of Foulston & Siefkin. She
joined Fleeson, Gooing, Coulson & Kitch, L.L.C., as a member in
1993.
Ms. Constable’s law practice includes drafting wills, revocable
trusts and related documents, structuring wealth transfers to
individuals and charities through irrevocable trusts and other
arrangements, complex planning associated with business succession
issues, preparing gift, estate and generation-skipping tax returns,
forming family limited partnerships and other entities, advising
fiduciaries on administration of estates and trusts, and resolving
tax disputes.
Ms. Constable has made presentations at Quad State Meetings of
the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the Kansas Tax
Conference, the Arkansas Federal Tax Institute, a National
Philanthropy Day Conference. She has also been a presenter at
seminars sponsored by the Kansas and Wichita Bar Associations and
other professional groups.
Ms. Constable is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and
Estate Counsel. She has served on the Executive Committee of the KBA
Section of Probate, Real Property and Trust Law, on the Board of
Editors of the Journal of the Kansas Bar Association and on
various professional committees. She is a member of the Wichita
Estate Planning Council and has served on that organization’s
executive committee and as its president. She is a member of the
Wichita Estate Planning Forum since its inception, and has been
recognized in the publication The Best
Lawyers in America®
in the area of Trusts and Estates since 1991 and "Missouri & Kansas
Super Lawyers"® in the areas of Estate Planning and
Probate.
Ms. Constable has been actively involved in the Wichita
community. She has been on the Board of Directors of Heartspring,
Inc. and of Big Brothers-Big Sisters (she was also a Big Sister) and
has been a member of the St. Francis Foundation Planned Giving
Committee. She has also been a member of the Midway Kansas Chapter
of American Red Cross Board of Directors and has served as a member
and chair of that organization’s Planned Giving Committee.
Ms. Constable is currently on the Board of Directors of the
Wichita Community Foundation, the Rotary Foundation, and the Kansas
Humane Society. She also currently is a member of the Wichita State
University Planned Giving Committee.
