Brooks Severson is a trial attorney with significant experience handling a variety of complex litigation cases, including personal injury defense, general civil litigation matters and employment law matters. She also represents plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful termination cases.

Brooks has tried numerous cases to a jury and has obtained significant results for her clients. She has a reputation as a fair adversary and tough litigator. Brooks spends a considerable amount of time working with her clients to identify the best strategy to meet their goals while minimizing risk.

Brooks is native of Wyandotte County, Kansas. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and her Juris Doctor from Washburn University. Brooks is a member of the Wichita, Kansas and Federal Bar Associations.  She currently serves as President of the Kansas Association of Defense Counsel. She is also involved in the management of Fleeson Gooing, currently serving on its hiring/recruitment team and Executive Committee.

Since 2014, Brooks has been recognized as a Super Lawyer for Kansas and Missouri. In 2019, she was honored by the Wichita Business Journal as Woman Who Lead(s) in Professional Services. In 2021, she was recognized as one of Wichita’s Women Who Lead in Legal Services. In addition to her legal related activities, Brooks enjoys spending time with her husband Tom, her daughter Maggie and their three dogs.
