Several Fleeson Gooing attorneys recently had the privilege of making scholarly presentations for their peers at continuing legal education seminars.

Kent Meyerhoff was a presenter at the Kansas Bar Association’s Plaza Lights Institute continuing legal education program on December 9, 2011, in Kansas City. Mr. Meyerhoff presented on the topic “Drafting Support and Discretionary Trusts: Navigating the Perils and Possibilities.”

Jason Bock presented at National Business Institute’s Estate Planning Basics seminar January 25, 2012, in Wichita. Mr. Bock presented on the topics “Ethical Issues in Estate Planning” and “Considerations in Planning for Incapacity.”

Lyndon Vix and Sylvia Penner were both presenters at an all-day seminar sponsored jointly by the Wesley E. Brown Inn of Court and the Wichita Bar Association on February 2, 2012, in Wichita. Mr. Vix spoke in the morning session which was titled “Writing to Win – Effective Legal Writing in Trial and Appellate Courts.” His specific topic was “How to Lose an Appeal in One Simple Brief.” Ms. Penner was a presenter in the afternoon session, “Common Evidentiary Issues at Trial.” She spoke on “Foundation and Authentication of Witnesses.”
