Fleeson Gooing is pleased to welcome Courtney Klaus and Braden Sullivan as summer law clerks for 2021.
Courtney was born and raised in Mulvane, Kansas. She graduated summa cum laude from Newman University in Wichita, where she earned her degree in Communication and History with a minor in Journalism. At Newman, Courtney served as Editor-in-Chief of the student newspaper and Treasurer of the Student Government Association. She just finished her first year of law school at the University of Notre Dame, where she is a Weigand Scholar and serves as President of the American Constitution Society. Courtney is on the Moot Court Board and was champion of the 1L Notre Dame Moot Court Tournament, in which she was also selected “Best Oralist.” Courtney loves independent films, Thai food, and walks with her beagle, Coco.
Braden is a Wichita native. He graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and minor in Political Science. He went on to receive a full-tuition merit-based scholarship to the Washburn University School of Law where he recently finished his first year. Braden has also been selected, upon the recommendation of his professors, as a group mentor for next semester’s new incoming law students based on his academic, communication, and leadership abilities. In his free time, Braden enjoys being outside and engaging in activities such as hiking, camping, or playing basketball.
