Three Fleeson Gooing attorneys recently assisted the United Way of the Plains ensure that 2012 donations will be invested for maximum community impact.

Ali Marchant, Dan Lawrence and Jason Bock served on United Way’s 2011 Allocation Review Panels. Volunteers are assigned to one of ten panels that review programs within the areas of education, income and health. Collectively, the allocation volunteers reviewed 93 programs at 35 agencies. Volunteers attend a training session, participate in three or four agency program presentations or site visits, and an afternoon wrap-up session.
The volunteers recommended, and the United Way Board of Directors approved, funding for 87 local programs with funding to being January 1, 2012.
