Banking And Lending

Our involvement in the financial community dates back to the early days of Wichita — beginning with C.H. Brooks’ service as a director and president of early Wichita banks — and continuing through today to include our representation of the leading lending institutions in various matters ranging from financing arrangements to the protection of creditors’ rights.

The firm represents a number of financial institutions and has represented both the smallest and the largest bank in Kansas. Our size and resources enable us to handle the day-to-day legal needs of a wide variety of financial and commercial concerns in an efficient, effective and timely manner.

Our lawyers are well-versed in negotiating and preparing loan documents for the simplest to the most complex loan transactions. But banking today isn’t just about lending money, and the firm is prepared to assist lenders in their expanding roles. Our lawyers have extensive knowledge of bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, Kansas law, environmental laws and regulatory concerns. This broad base of experience is critical to our ability to provide legal and technical advice in an ever-changing industry.
